Under most circumstances, the Company can be registered within the same day. The company registration procedure in Singapore is fully computerised by Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA)
There are 2 steps to register your Singapore company:
- Reserve Your Company Name
You must first reserve your company name. Make sure that the name:
- is not identical or too similar to any existing local company names
- does not infringe with any trademarks
- is not obscene or vulgar
- is not already reserved
An approved name will be reserved for 4 months from the date of application.
- Register Your Company
Once the name has been approved, you can register your company. Once you have completed the process, all the necessary documents will be sent to your registered email address.
When your Singapore company has been registered, ACRA will send an official email notification to confirm it. The email notification includes the company registration number and is treated as the official certificate of incorporation in Singapore.
